Zahadi Brown Dates

Zahidi dates are a rarer type of date that are characteristically they are medium sized and distinctively oval in shape, a golden amber in color, when ripe, and an excellent shipper and keeper. It is classified as a semi-dry date. They have pale brown skin and a thick, golden inner flesh that surrounds a single seed.

Zahidi is a semi-dry date. This means that the sugar content is sucrose, unlike Medjool which is fructose. Zahidi Dates actually have less sugar content than Medjool Dates but still have all of the amazing, rich flavors! Zahidi is translated to “nobility” but is also called the “butter date” due to its color and taste.
